The Refuge Australia Foundation has been created by the NSW Migrant Resource Centres to provide leadership and foster a dialogue around issues affecting communities with refugee experience.

Specifically the Foundation has been developed to support key projects that:

  • • Create an understanding and awareness in the wider Australian community of the refugee experience and related hardships;
  • • Create a safe environment for the successful settlement, integration and contribution of communities with refugee experiences;
  • • Un-tap the human potential of individuals and communities with refugee experiences;
  • • Create opportunities for dialogue in the community between Aboriginal, mainstream, migrant and refugee communities to foster mutual understanding.
